Tokyu Kabukicho Tower (Night spot)

A Night at Tokyu Kabukicho Tower – Shinjuku’s New Landmark

Opened in April 2023, Tokyu Kabukicho Tower is a brand-new entertainment complex in the heart of Shinjuku’s Kabukicho district. Though I don’t often find myself in Kabukicho,
I couldn’t resist checking out this impressive new facility that has quickly become a hot topic since its debut.

The lower floors are packed with entertainment options—everything from theaters and movie screens to live performance halls and amusement zones. And if you stay out late (as most do here!), no worries—the upper floors are home to over 600 guest rooms, making it easy to play all night and rest just an elevator ride away.

Kabukicho is known as one of Japan’s most iconic nightlife districts. The streets are buzzing with energy and filled with people from all over the world. At times, you might even forget you’re in Japan! If you’re in the mood for a lively, unforgettable night out, this area won’t disappoint. Just remember to pace yourself—things can get wild here, and it’s easy to overdo it if you’re not careful.

Don’t Miss: Godzilla Roar!

One of the quirkiest highlights of Kabukicho is the Godzilla Head perched on the 8th floor of a tall building in the area. From noon to 8 p.m., Godzilla lets out a mighty roar once every hour. When the time comes, you’ll hear the unmistakable Godzilla theme music followed by his iconic roar—complete with sound effects that shake the air like a storm.

The performance lasts only a few minutes, so make sure to time your visit if you want to witness this fun little spectacle!

Whether you’re an anime fan, a night owl, or just looking for a unique Tokyo experience, Tokyu Kabukicho Tower and its surroundings offer something for everyone.
